Jeanette

Fiveash

Don grew up in Grand Prairie Texas, the oldest of 3 children. He did quite well in school, until he reached college, where he needed to study which he had never learned how to do. He coasted through 2 years on what he had learned in high school, attained the official status of Junior and dropped out to go to work.

In high school, his brother, Tim, got him into horse racing. A race horse trainer moved in across the street about the time Tim bought his first horse, and one thing led to another and before either one knew it they were both excersiseing race horses for some extra money. They both already had jobs delivering the afternoon newspaper, but they soon quit that to spend more time with the horses, their own and the race horses.

Tim only went to college a couple of semesters before he realized he had to be outside and on the move. He has spent the rest of his life as a jockey and trainer. Don, on the other hand, realized the people part of horse racing was not for him. He went into his earlier love, Electronics. Even without a degree, he became a full engineer, and then Director of Engineering at a small company in New York. Again too much people interaction, so he contented himself with being Technical Lead at several companies.

Don got married twice in Texas, and moved to New York with one of them. After New York, they moved to Tulsa Oklahoma, where they soon divorced. He was married again in Tulsa, but that didn't last long, and Don finally got it. He was one of those people that shouldn't be married. That didn't mean he should live alone, or jump from relationship to relationship. Just that the baggage that society and religions pile on marriage was too much for him to carry.

So, in 1992, he entered into a partnership with Jeanette Fiveash, which lasted longer than any of the marriages.

Along the way, he has accumulated three children. Tracy from his first marriage, and Marshall and Angela from his second marriage. The kids are all off on their own now and in all, Don has 6 grand children.

Jeanette grew up in a small town on the outskirts of Tulsa Oklahoma. She was the youngest of 6  children, 3 boys and 3 girls. She always had a thing for animals, any kind of animal. After a twelve year stint in the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic and later as Med Tech, she started college toward a Veterinary degree. She switched her major to nursing after realizing how difficult it was going to be paying off her school loans after finishing the Vetrinary degree. And Nursing would be more dependable career anywhere in the country. She always loved horses, even the shetland pony she had as a kid. Now she has realized her lifelong dream; to have enough land to have and ride her own horses.
